Consumer Health Library
Service and Costs
The library contains a variety of sources for information:
- medical and consumer-oriented books
- journals and newsletters
- audiovisual materials
- computer programs for patron use
- Internet access
- subscription computer databases
The library is staffed by a professional librarian. It is open to physicians affiliated with St. John's, hospital staff, and members of the general public.
Costs
The majority of our services are free, with the exception of the following minimal charge:
Interlibrary loans are free for clinical staff. If a lending library assesses a fee, that fee will be passed on to the user. This is a rare circumstance as most articles can be obtained from FreeShare libraries.
Materials used while visiting the library are free of charge.
